Andrew Catlett

Studied a BSC Agric from University of KwaZulu-Natal majoring in Animal and Poultry Science in 2007 before moving to the UK with his wife at the end of that year. Andrew then worked in a research environment for the next five years where the last two of those years he embarked on studying again to be awarded his MSc in Applied Poultry Science through the University of Glasgow. During that final year of his MSc and afterwards, he worked for one of the largest poultry integrators in the UK and Ireland and has experience across Grand Parent, Parent stock, broilers as well as speciality broilers such as free range, organic production and turkeys. He has expertise in both the farm and feed milling environment and has implemented a number of projects over the years from trial facility setup to NIR implementation and Met-analysis of production data and performance modelling. Andrew now works for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business as the Poultry Technical Application Specialist for Sub-Saharan Africa. He oversees the implementation of new products and services to his poultry customers across the region.
