Dr Philip Labuschagne

Dr Philip Labuschagne is a Principal Researcher at the CSIR in the Centre for Nanostructures and Advanced Materials. Dr Labuschagne has 25 years’ experience in polymer technology and 17 years in polymer-based drug-delivery systems. He has been the lead researcher in the formulation and development of encapsulation technologies using supercritical CO2 processes for sensitive actives such as: probiotics, phytochemicals, vitamins and vaccines, some of which have been patented and commercialised. He has presented his research at a number of local and international conferences, and is the lead and co-author of 17 international peer-reviewed publications.
